Melting glaciers in the high Alps led the Swiss authorities to revise the borders between the two countries.
Based on the change in position of a watershed that has determined the border since 1942 the Swiss have shifter the border 150 meters in their favour.
The changes was also approved by Rome.
While Switzerland is now a bit bigger no-one is in a rush to correct the atlas.
The melting glaciers are rapidly changing the topography in the Alps with lakes disappearing or appearing and once ice-covered areas now accessible.
