Italian fashion group Gianni Versace SpA will open 11 boutiques in 2008, the group said Friday.
Versace CEO Giancarlo Di Risio is opening a boutique in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, accompanied by a fashion show.
The new openings, which entail investments of 45 mln euros ($70.2 mln) are part of the group's plan for expansion.
Versace closed 2007 with a revenue of 310.6 mln euros ($484.3 mln), up 7.8% year-on-year.
The rise in the revenue stood at 13.8% at constant currency exchange rates.
The net financial position totalled 4.4 mln euros ($6.9 mln) at the end of 2007.
The net financial position/net financial debt is calculated as the difference between a company's financial debts and liquid assets.
The Italian fashion group will open two stores in Hong Kong.
The flagship store in Hong Kong will cover an area of more than 500 sq m. Versace will open also a 400 sq m boutique in Macau, two stores in Taiwan, a store in Malaysia and two in China.
Two Versace stores will open doors in Europe, one of which in Milan.
