Wine – a lot of it – to discover, to smell, to taste: the occasion is Vinum, the festival celebrating the wines of Langhe and Roero taking place in Alba (Piedmont) from May 1-4.
Alba, the unofficial capital of Langhe, famous for its wines, cheese and truffles, will be hosting a series of events relating to the best local wine production, with visitors coming from Italy and abroad; many wineries will be exceptionally open to the public, restaurants will feature special menus, tastings and workshops will bring visitors closer to the world of Piedmont wines.
The Langhe-Roero area of Piedmont is a hilly region producing celebrated wines, among them Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto d’Alba and Barbera d’Alba.
