Words of Honour, the best-selling book written by Bolzoni Attilio in Italian and publised in 2008, has now been turned into an English play currently showing in London.

Attilio Bolzoni, an Italian investigative reporter, put together a book that describes the mannerisms, "moral code", the style of threats and in general the "language" of the Sicilian mafia - the Cosa Nostra. The work was based on all the material the author could get his hands on that has been released by anti-mafia police investigations. The sum represents one of the more in-depth views of the Sicilian mafia - through their own words and code.

This book has now been turned into a play that is currently showing at the Jermyn Street Theatre in London and will subsequently move to the Edinburgh Festival in September. It will also tour Italy starting November.

The play starring a critically-acclaimed Marco Gambino, takes us into the hidden world of the Cosa Nostra, showing 'Men of Honour' are really like - what they eat, who they marry (and who they don't), who they can speak to, what it means to be protected, how it affects every part of their lives, and how, for all it's rewards, it is a life of lies.
