10146 Cost of having the Floors Done

Does anyone have an approximate cost to redoing the floors in a house marche.
1. cost of floor removal per square meter
2. Instalation of flooring from in area where it does not exist (all material included). i realise the tiles depend on personal choice ...but teh one that i liked is around 22 Euro.

I really appreciate any input.

You have a good previous thread on "prezzario" here:

besides the most recent one on the same subject.

It will be difficult to get even a rough estimate as the price will depend on the difficulty of the job, etc.
The best thing will be to get a couple of quotes.... preferably three.... and compare them. Ask the people at the shop where you intend to buy the tiles, they will certainly know tradesmen and could help.
Best wishes with your project.

thank you very much for the information

As a rough guide, laying new tiles will cost 20 euros/sq.m, grouted and roughly cleaned on a prepared subfloor. If the tiles need some sort of finish - for example raw cotto - add another 10 euros/sq.m.

If the existing floor is defective (bouncy, or with clay tiles laid on something which now resembles sand), then add another 20euro/sq.m for doing a decent lightly reinforced subfloor. If the floor is bouncy because the timbers are rather weak, then add some more serious reinforcement. If the floor is defective and needs re-timbering, add a lot more.

So - hopefully you have realised that you have not asked a simple question! Referring to a prezzario (the sort of technical price list used by a quantity surveyor) is frankly liable to mislead you. Checking prices presented by a geometra against a 'prezzario' is valid (if you don't trust your geometra).

Sorry - just re-read your post. You are asking about starting from scratch. Okay - timber (pine) solaio, with reinforced screed above, about 35euro/sq.m + tile laying 20euro + tiles 22 euro = approx 80euro/sq.m assuming no finshing of tiles required. If it is a ground level floor to be made, add any necessary excavation (expensive and unpredictable if it has to be done by hand) but the solaio will cost a bit less than in timber.
