11553 I don’t want to spend much on the renovation of my machineries.

I have a construction company and have several machines like mixing plant, tripper trucks, soil diggers etc. Most of the equipments lost their smoothness because the paint got peeled off. I don’t want to spend much on renovation of my machineries. Is there any possible way to get them back in good appearance?

:eerr: sandpaper, paint and a brush?

Spam - without doubt - use spam to polish them.

I was about to delete these as spam, but I can't wat to see how the spam will be responded to..........do you it'll be crow-barred in, or a more elgant segue?

Once I have this answered, I will then delete it as spam :)

Well yes given two threads on the same subject I thought spam possibly but the guy hasn't added his website or any contact details so I think he's bona fide!!!

Not a chance Sally. Its all the rage nowadays to sneak in quietly first to test the water and then when they think the coast is clear - bombard the place.

You could let it run Tusk and see whether it's to be a deluge or a trickle.

I recommend goose fat :laughs:

Soak them in coca cola (or was that just an urban myth my mum used to stop us drinking it:winki:)

WATER

1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (Likely applies to half world population.)

2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.

3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as much as 3%.

4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of Washington study.

5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.

7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic maths, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.

8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50%less likely to develop bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?

COKE

1. In many states in the USA, the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminium foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminium foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Coke for sumptuous brown gravy.

8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase in osteoporosis.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would YOU like a glass of water or coke?

NO! Make it BEER!!

Not sure where this topic is going but I am reliably told that when in China the only thing to drink is Coke to prevent sickness and vomiting from occuring! I don't intend going there to prove it though!

You can also put a piece of steak in pure alcohol overnight and in the morning it's shriveled. Now where did I hide the vodka??? lol

COKE

...[ditto]...
I should have thought that just about anybody would look at this stuff and immediately think "urban mythology circulated by email", but perhaps not.

Here are the links to Snopes on Coke and dehydration myths.

I never drink Coke and rarely have any other sort of carbonated soft-drink, but the bit about steaks (or nails or teeth or whatever) dissolving in a bowl of Coke just sounds totally specious to me. Have you actually tried this, Neil? In any case, have you considered what would happen to a steak if it was left in a bowl of gastric juices for a few hours? Or – to evoke possibly even more disgusting imagery – a bowl of saliva?

I have no particular axe to grind on behalf of Coke and I think it's a good idea to drink plenty of water (I usually have a glass close to hand), but I do get annoyed when urban myths are propagated.

Al

But - did none of you, as youngsters, put penny coins into Coca Cola to make them really really shiny?
Duraglit, Brasso and Silver Dip eat your hearts out - Coke really cuts the patina.

and on teeth - my daughter did a project hanging teeth [from dentists - not her teeth, or mine] in coke - result - teeth dissolved.

Not just China! Flat coke works a treat to help with any D&V when in any country where hygiene and poor water supply is an issue. A friend in Egypt swore by this remedy and OH when in Sierra Leone was advised to always have a can with him just in case - again when needed, it helped.

On the other hand, bit like the American police in Neil T's post, friends living in Australia were told used it to clean their bleached white concrete driveway after the car leaked oil onto to it and yes, it worked!!!!!!!!!
2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in two days.

If you put a T-bone steak on a plate in front of me, it will be gone in minutes:laughs:

Oh honestly...

...when you order your next double cheese, half pounder steak wopper (with onion rings), you should always order a LARGE DIET (one should watch the calories) COKE, because it will clearly help the digestive process :nah:
