3571 centro di Riciclaggio

[FONT="Book Antiqua"][SIZE="3"]

During a clear out we needed to pay several trips to our local (uk) tip where we managed to buy a great 1950's sideboard for £4 and two chairsof the same era for £1.Our friends have furnished a whole bedroom from this source.

I will need to make some visits to the tip in Italy and wondered if trhe same system exsists there? If I saw anything I wanted would it be acceptable to offer some cash for it or is that not done???Any ideas.

In my local centri di riciclaggio they frequently put aside useful stuff, close to the office, and I think you have to pay a small sum.
They also put stuff (like kitchen sideboards, and chairs etc.) in a particular spot where you can pick through easily and help yourself. Seems quite common to do this, and certain types hang around the skips on a busy Saturday morning and take stuff from you which you are about to chuck out.

So we are not so different after all.we love a bargain!!
