2409 Best Language DVDs

Whats the best CD audio language going I have a terrible one at the moment but it helps me listen to italian?

I shall speak this language one day, certo anne :cool:

Acquerello Italiano - bi monthly booklet plus video (or CD) - ottimo!

I've not used the Acquerello Italiano, but I understand it's really excellent. It's aimed at the intermediate, though.

If you are closer to being a beginner then depending on how you like to learn languages. I would recommend the Accelerated Learning system.

It kind of ignores grammar and plunges you right into conversation in a way that is quite unlike the other methods I've come across. You can always supplement it with grammar from other books if you want to, but if like me you are daunted by the...space...between...words...while... you...try...to...think... what...italian...words... should..be...agreeing...with..what, then you may find this helpful. It tries to teach you foreign languages in the way that we learn our own. I found it gave me a bit of fluency early on because I got used to hearing certain patterns over and over which I could then use without thinking too hard. The other plus is that it encourages you to sort of lie back and let it wash over you without being overly analytical.

If this can be of help, we have a free webradio, with shows at elementary and advanced levels. It's still at a "testing" stage, but things are working fine.
And we do accept suggestions and requests from listeners.
