Hey so much for privacy. Is it the case the polls carried out here always shows the way members have voted???

So, being as this is a quasi democracy, here is the revised list. Sfortunatamente, it will need the powers of a moderator (or above) to action these amendments, so, here's hoping that one may be passing by sometime in the not too distant future...
1. Can we make the poll so that it doesn't show any names of the voters - only Sally's.
2. Can we extend the options to include:
a. None of the foregoing
b. Don't Know
c. I don't. Ever
d. Because it made me LOL!
e. Because it made me ROFLMFAO
3. Can we make it a multiple choice question.
Perhaps that will do it?
Now, where's a moderator when you fancy one...

What is Nefatism?
Is it a typo?

Not sure of the spelling Nielo. Nephitism??? When someone you know scratches your back and vice versa/when you know and appreciate the other and will do them favours etc.
In reply to A newbie all over again! by Annec
Saying "Thank You" to mean "I Agree" seems particularly bizarre to me.
Not sure of the spelling Nielo. Nephitism??? When someone you know scratches your back and vice versa/when you know and appreciate the other and will do them favours etc.
"Nepotism", from the Latin "nepos" for "nephew". It's an Italian invention, naturally.

Well it might mean I know I may be in the minority but it's good someone agrees with me, what a relief - perhaps??? Just a suggestion

I don't like the 'Grazie's' that seem to be given purely because a post was written by someone considered to be a 'buddy' (irrespective of what they have written), or those given when the giver doesn't appear to know anything about, or understand the matter being discussed. Such 'Grazie' seem to defeat the whole idea of rewarding someone for a good informative or enjoyably funny post.
In fact the whole thing has now become little more than a farce and that is a such a shame, as I'm sure it was never intended to be that way!

I mess about on a site which has 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down', and these are usually accepted as meaning approval or disapproval of the opinion. (There are no facts on that site - it's financial :bigergrin::bigergrin:).
It works well, BUT, the thumbs are anonymous. Maybe we should make grazies anonymous?
By Charles Phillips: "....Maybe we should make grazies anonymous?"
Good idea Charles - maybe we/they should.
It would be a more genuine 'Thank you' and at least it would cut out a lot of the silliness often attached to the present system!

For me, I appreciate a thank you, and I agree they have been very misused in the past...but not now?, I also like to know who has thanked me, hey then we are all open and transparent?

You do have a point there, but why is there a 'points table' for 'Grazie' beside all our posts? That, to me, makes it a contest - which I don't think it should be. It risks giving a Thank You just to have more points than others...(and - dare I suggest - even to garner popularity).
Could you set up a poll Nardini on this please??? Cheers or Grazie, whichever you prefer.
