11836 forum un-delete button?

Re. the deleted posts in the "warning - new charges on ryanair" thread It would've been far simpler for the admin just to move the whole thread to the circolo in the first place (it was just a joke anyway) - arbitrary & unexplained deletions never did go down well IIRC . Anyway, Google sees everything if you know where to look.

Hi Pigro

As I have just said on that thread. From my experience, posts disappear for no apparent reason. If the Admin delete them then there they do give their reasons.

was this the one JC? ....

You really should get out (of cyberspace) more y'know ... I'm trying, I've almost mastered it :laughs:

This one has really aggravated me. Jojo posted her joke at 20.11, the usermod posted her pretentious (and rude) instructions at 20.33. Jojo then realised, at 20.47, that just maybe she should emphasise that IT WAS A JOKE. scatterbrain, at 21.11 said good joke! At about 22.00 the humourless nastiness posted by the self-appointed usermod was quoted, I think by juliancoll.
Now, you would have thought, given the unrelenting necessary presence on the forum of a usermod, she might have thought it would be sensible to delete her own post in the 83 minutes between jojo saying her post was a joke, and somebody quoting usermod. Why didn't she do that? Was she asleep on the job?

Eh, what who what?, I see "life" is passing me by again, I have only just realised how to deleat, so now will be doing it with aplomb, and in an indiscriminate way, plus editing my post with no explaination. Now all I need to master is the ignore button, wheres that?....anyone:winki:
A

You miss my point julian: there was plenty of time for the post to have been deleted by the user (once the understanding that the original post was a joke had penetrated) - but maybe she just wanted to get the admin involved...again. You would have thought they had got sick of such antics by now.

And where is the apology? Oh yes, it will have been in a PM.....been here, done this.

Charles, pots and kettles, eh??? However I wasn't being rude and suggested it merely to Jojo to be helpful. After posting I only returned to the thread today and i have just learnt through this thread that in fact Jojo had posted her thread as a joke. I don't hang around The Forum and read every post in threads.

This should to be preserved for posterity in it's original form.

Well I want to know why MY post was deleted for using the word 'Admin' four times? There I've used it again... so I s'pose this post will get the arbitrary chop too!

Have I got this right then? It's supposedly some nasty little computer 'BOT' that arrives on site, shouts "EUREKA - another one outside the law!" and then gets out it's Laser Taser and zaps us???

Well if you believe that then there's not a lot of hope left for being treated fairly - is there?

Maybe posts spontaneuosly delete - like used to happen in Dickens' era:eeeek:

Could be a new group is needed for members who have been victims of U.D.A's Unidentifiable Deletion Attacks

Or U.D.I. - Universal Declaration of Incompetence for the BOTS that deal with them!

Having had a second post deleted from 'another' thread I was just wondering are they also deducted from your post count?
Am I now even further away from being a Patrician? :veryconfused::bigergrin:

Moved to Italia Uncovered
Sometimes swept away and I find I'm almost again.

It's a bit like the Fountain of Eternal Youth.
And it revarnishes that portrait in the attic :laughs:

T'was not a misquote - merely a selective quote! These are allowed. Usually they have lots of ....s in them, (but adriatica has used up all the forum's dots)...
