What a good topic.
I would love to go back to say 21 May 1935. This would be my grandfathers birthday and hopefully a big Italian family celebration. I would be able to have a long conversation with him, get to know him and ask all the questions I now, as the family history expert, so wish I had the answers to. I would also see all my relations in their prime instead of much older as I knew them. My grandfather was born in 1868 and died some thirty years before I was born. I knew Nonna as she was much younger than my grandfather but already in her 70's when I appeared. There were 14 children and I am the the youngest of the youngest so I had cousins who were in their 30's when I came into the world. This all means that when I was old enough to enquire many were already dead and from the others I often got the usual 'what the Dickens do you want to know that for?'.
Also I would love to ask who exactly are those people I can't put a name to on dozens of old family photo's.

I'd like to have been at Wembley to see England win the (football) world cup in 1966 and see the legend that is Sir Robert Moore lift the trophy.
I would also like to have been old enough to go down the boozer afterwards and have a good old news up.
Failing that, I'd like to have met me wife earlier in life - 'cos she is lovely  (and my London flat was pretty scummy until she came along):laughs:

I saw Pilchards post too, and I thought is was sooo nice. Not maudlin at all - just nice. I'm sorry you deleted it Pilch.
You'll have to think up more things now.... I've already thought of other places I would like to go/see (some are printable - others are not!) :laughs:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JC
I’d do a Steven Fry as in Making History and go beck and take someone out for the good of mankind.
Not sure I’d pick Hitler tough…..Perhaps….. William the Conk, now that really would have made the world a different place!!
Of course in reality I would go back to before my son died but then if I couldn’t change things I wouldn’t want to live through that again so perhaps I’ll stick with changing the course of an arrow.
