Sorry I am late reporting for duty, I snagged my stockings climbing over the barbed wire.
I couldn't find any carrot batons, so I have brought sprouts. If we eat enough of them we can create our own weapon of mass destruction.

We are already under attack - the mystery "I vote your threads one star because I hate you JC" giver is currently active and working undercover - as usual. :laughs:

Do you have any clear nail polish ?- It's a marvellous solution for stopping those irritating snags from spreading.
Also, I have a fabulous recipe for stir fried sprouts - did anyone think to bring a wok to the the brazier?
Anyway, wonder how Moxie+ Them are doing with the feeding of the animals today...

Forum Self Regulation, Forum Fatigue and Saintly Groups
Threads have been closed down and issues remain unresolved. It has also not go un-noticed that Moxies's daughter has kindly offered to design a website for auction in aid of the Earthquake Appeal, but has nowhere to promote it.
Quite frankly, the forum is in disarray. The Earthquake fund is suffering, Gala has been branded as naughty, JC has started to design ladies outfits and Ghianda is keeping his clothes on.
Ronald has made some 'authoritative' posts but not actually answered any questions, happy to ‘leave us to it’.
Now, whilst I will be roasting my sticks of celery on the brazier, on Tuesday, I did wonder why this 'forum self-regulation' ain't working.
Well. It’s simple. We cannot 'zap' nuisance members and we cannot re-file and set up new (sub) forums. So, we need Admin whether we like it or not. We could:
a) Take a capitalist approach and pay a subscription. Revenue for the Mag and some ‘clout’ for us because we are paying customers. This way polite requests for (sub) forums would be taken seriously.
b) We could take a fascist route and every account holder must give names, addresses, passport number and BMI. Then we would be all much more careful in what we said!!!!
c) Alternatively we could be democratic and ask for a bickering/complaints committee (i.e. a sub-forum), to air grievances. Have a dedicated Mod for this forum alone.
d) Carry on as we are, because nothing ever changes anyway.
In the meantime I shall be setting up a group for those of us who have never been reported, banned, had a post deleted, infact who are beyond reproach.

Corporal Nielo 21943 reporting for duty. SAH! (click of stiletto heels meeting……Hand raised in two fingered salute)
I have brought Lt. Pigeon as air support, fuel him with sprouts please.
Now what are my orders?
Totally Out of Season!

Serves 4
55g (2oz) pine nuts
450g (1lb) firm Brussels sprouts
Large knob of butter
1 tbsp olive oil
Large handful of flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
Grated zest and juice of 1 lemon
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method
Put the pine nuts in a dry frying pan and place over a gentle heat. Toast until just golden, tossing them frequently. Set aside.
Trim the sprouts and remove the tough outer leaves. Grate the sprouts coarsely into a large bowl. Melt the butter with the oil in a wok or large frying pan over a moderate to high heat. Tip in the grated sprouts, parsley, lemon juice and zest and stir-fry for a minute or two, until the shreds are just soft but still crunchy. Season, add the toasted pine nuts and toss well to mix.
Is that tumbleweed I see?

Explosives, like artillery are for wusses! Cold Steel gets you up close and personal
