Pixie, what happened to the thread, I was just going to reply that I knew exactly where your wife was sitting and was oh so envious, sat there many a time myself, oh what a view.

Paula, I wrote this thread after I had drunk one beer too many. When I re-read it in the cold light of day the next morning I thought it was a bit daft so deleted it.

Dont be daft, I loved the posting, I could imagine her sat in the same spot I'd sat in may times before  . I knew exactly what you meant about the walk up, especially if you have slippy shoes and the cobbles have been worn that shinny over the years, its a nightmare. Try walking down, slippy shoes and a pram. I may not get over again this year, other commitments at home, so enjoyed reading your posting. ;)

Oh well......never mind. Glad you enjoyed reading it. I tend to only post things when I've had a couple and sometimes it comes out a bit corny I think. Still it is nice up there isn't it. Once we got caught in a rainstorm at the top and had to wade through torrents to get back down to the car....it was a real adventure and we all got thoroughly soaked. The little one didn't like it much but the rest of us had fun.
Rain

When we were there in Feb, boy did it rain, like you say, when it rains the water runs down the streets like rivers, never seen anything like it, where is the drainage  . The bottom of our villa actully flooded because a stupid geometra turned the water pump off under the house whilst showing an electrician round. Spend 4 hours brushing the water into the drainage outlet once the pump was switched back on  . Dont worry about posting after having a drink, thats the only time I do post myself.;)
Then get out of the kitchen :D
....unless you're planning to do the washing up ;)
