10171 TV in Italy

Hi All, Can some one advise us what is the best way to get English Sky!! We know it is supposed to be difficult just wondered how anyone managed to overcome the problems.We will be In Abruzzo. Also Would it be best to buy an Italian TV as I believe our English TV will have problems working in Italy.
ANY advice would be very welcome. THANKS

Hi we have English Sky and have had no problems using an english TV in the past. We now get ITV3 which is good if you like 'that soap'! We only have a normal size dish

However, sadly last week we lost reception for Channel 4 which is my favourite station don't understand why!

Channel 4 also disappeared in the Arezzo area SE Tuscany.

I posted about this last week but unfortunately no one seems willing/able to comment on this.

However, in the meantime have discovered, from a sat.man in UK that channel 4 can be accessed at sky channel 135. This is channel 4+1.

Hi glad to hear that it is not just us that has lost channel 4. I also found channel 135 but programmes seem to be an hour later and I lose reception about 8.00 pm. Its not really important but I really liked getting channel 4. I would really love to find out why we have lost it. I might try another post. Thanks anyway.

That's why its called Channel 4+1
