10950 Paying Telecom bill - Lottomattica

It's possibly common-knowledge for most, but for those of you who still trudge into town and queue up in the Post Office to pay your Telecom bill, have a look round for your local Lottomattica-equipped shop. Many Tabacchi have them. Thanks to someone else on this forum, I've done just that and much more convenient it was too.

Apparently, according to Telecom anyway, when you pay in this method the amount is credited directly to them unlike the Post Office which has to forward payments. Surprisingly, Telecom advise that if you pay at the Post Office you should also fax them a copy of your receipt (they have a free fax number for the purpose) so that they don't pursue you for the bill - sometimes apparently it gets 'lost' between the Post Office and Telecom's account :)

Ahhh - now you see that's useful to know as well. How come I haven't seen any of this before on here - have I just missed it all? To find parking in town, then walk to the Post Office only to find a 30 minute queue has been a frustration on many occasions. I look forward to saving those 'lost' minutes of my life in future :)
