11794 Beware banks changing hands!

:eeeek:Banca di Roma just fine, then becomes Unicredito, well OK, but now Banco Popolare di Milano AArrrgh - no internet access to account details, bank has stopped baying our direct debits " we don't have enough money in acc't" "oh yes we have ", "you are not resident" - "Oh yes we are!"
The magnificent and reliable Elena is sorting it out at last but is anybody else having this sort of problem?

Not as yet in Italy but in Germany it has started.
First it was Dresdner Bank then it was Dresdner/Alliance and now I believe it will soon be Commerzbank.
On the up side a rather nice girl phoned me a couple of weeks ago just to let me know that if I wanted a loan I only had to ask. :smile:
I started to think of things I still had to do on the house in Italy but soon came back to earth as I remembered the already large enough mortgage bill. :frown:

Quite a few changes are going to take place within the forthcoming months and it is impossible to predict what is going to happen. It is our money, but they are masters at playing games with it.....
