Can any one tell me if they have sky digital in Italy someone told me to take my sky box with me and get a large satalite dish is this right and if so where would I find a satalite dish in northern Italy

Please try a search of this forum, there are numerous discussions on sky TV both receiving UK sky and what you get if you subscribe to the Italian Sky TV.
My personal suggestion is go for Sky Italia, there is enough choice of English programming plus you can practise your Italian if you want.
