Try looking up L'ISTITUTO GEOGRAFICO MILITARE. I have a complete set of 1:25,000 for my area of north of Perugia in the 'Serie M, Edizione 3, I G M I della Carta d'Italia.'
The downside is that this was produced in 1941! Nevertheless, they are very interesting and have masses of info on them. There may be later editions for your area.
I got mine from the Provincia.
Good luck!
I like to do a bit of walking in the countryside and am trying to find some maps of my locality of Le Marche ( ascoli piceno and macerata areas ) that are sufficiently good to show all the smaller roads, strada bianca , etc and footpaths if possible e.g the equivalent to the Ordnance survey 1:50,000 or 1:25,000 maps in the UK. Does anyone know if such maps exist ? If so where I can buy them , either locally, by mail or online . I have managed to get some good maps of certain areas like the Sibillini National Park, but would like to get some more local ones.
I got a 1:25000 MAP UMBRIA MARCHE in the local tobacco shop in Amandola.
where i also got an ordinance map of the walks in the sibillini which are numbered and correspond to the descriptions in the CAI guide to the mountains (thats the club alpino italiano-CAI)in more specialistshops you can get ordinance maps of anywhere/everywhere.
