9193 House Insurances

I have seen some threads on here regarding insurance using Intasure and I have been having a look myself as I have just purchased an apartment in Tuscany. I need to insure against some risks (buildings rather than contents) . I am mainly bothered about a burst pipe, or something similar, damaging an apartment below ours. (The apartment is newly created in an old village property which has been renovated).

Has anyone got any experrience of Schofields? Their quotes seem competitive for good levels of cover and include cover for vacant periods without having to isloate the utilities everytime. As we will be using Ryanair I don't fancy having to remember the utility isolation downstairs everytime we need to leave at 4am!

Any experiences would be appreciated or any other good alternative insurers.

Thanks

Hi
Have you tried Italsure.co.uk - I don't know if they do the insurance your looking for but for cars they are incredibly cheap! Anyway they seem quite flexible so it might be worth talking to them.

Hi
We use Italsure for our car insurance and yes they were loads loads cheaper, however, for house insurance Oliver at the London office couldn't match the price I got from Axa italy.
Because we needed buildings, earthquake cover, personal liability and contents.

Have a claim in at the moment for a burst pipe (in a 1.5 metre outside wall!) and I will let you know how we get on... supposedly covered for about 5000 euros for each 'minor' domestic emergency/situation.
