Yep, I'm going with Italian friends a week tomorrow, though reading elsewhere on this board someone says it's better to get there earlier in the week. Looking forward to it very much, despite the expected massive crowds and usual nightmare of parking in Perugia! I've never been but girlfriend tells me the smell alone is worth the trip.

Violetta - so long as you aren't intending to remain in Perugia late into the night, parking is a doddle. Just park down in the enormous car park at Pian di Missiano (near the stadio) and take the little electric funicular railway (minimetro) up to the top! Costs all of one Euro, and the car-parking is free, and it is great fun.

Thanks Charles, tip very much appreciated. I've never taken this funny little funicular but will urge friends to park where you suggest so we can.
