If you have a surplus of figs this year and want to try something different, give this a go:
[b]SOUR FIG CHUTNEY[/b]
[b][i]INGREDIENTS[/i][/b]
2 Cups Figs
2 Cups white vinegar
750ml Tomato Sauce
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Methi Masala
½ Cup Worcester Sauce
½ Cup Curry Leaves
[b][i]METHOD[/i][/b]
Soak figs into boiling water then drain well. Liquidise figs and vinegar and mix in the rest of the ingredients. Cook on low heat. Stir now and again. Cool. Put into fridge and use as desired after +/- 2 weeks.
