We have about 5 acers of land in calabria, with vines which are now a little untidy yet produce grapes, what is the best way to to prune and tidy them and what time of the year.
Also does anyone know of any large Garden centre type places such as B & Q within the cosenza area of calabria.
Also we have considered a pool does anybody know of any laws relating to having a pool and any installers within this region

Hi Matt,
I've just come across your message- nice to see another poster from Calabria. Whilst I am afraid I have no info re vines, there have been other postings on the forum along these lines.
If you run a search you should be able to find what has been discussed previously.
The nearest we have come to a B & Q type place was a Brico on the S107 near Rende but it wasn't terribly well stocked with gardening stuff if that is what you are looking for.
We passed a 'retail park' type of thing on our way out of Cosenza that has a Carrefour and what looked like a few other large retailers (think the address is something like Contrada Malavicina, Zumpano, 87040) but we missed the turning so we didn't have a good look - might be worth a look if you aren't too far away 8-))
Where are you in Calabria (and the UK)?
Are you going to be able to take advantage of the flights from Stansted to Lamezia??
