10237 Advocate for dogs...(Frontline/Advantix sort of thing)

Prior to moving here my vet gave me a prescription for Advocate for my two GSD's. This is a Frontline sort of thing but it covers a more broad spectrum for parasites like heart worm, hookworm, fleas, sand flies, etc...I think there are about 10 things in all. I cannot find it or anything like it here. I have bought Advantix but it is only for heart worm, fleas and tics. We have so many unusual biting bugs in our garden I want to keep my dogs as well as my family protected so does anyone know of something like Advocate I can buy locally? Maybe it's just called something else here? I tried asking my UK vet to mail me some but due to DEFRA regs she isn't allowed/won't do it. Thanks!

It is avalabe, called Advocate. It is prescription only, so you'll need a prescription from your vet. If you can't order it from your local pharmacy, this site sells it (but you have to send them the prescription).

There was a long thread in the various types of 'bug' protection for animals. There is also a link to it in the ‘Pets Corner’, which can be found in the ‘Groups’ section (top of the page above Italy Magazine Forums)

If you gave brought two GSDs to Italy you might find more useful information there.

when I saw the thread I thought that someone was looking for a lawyer to defend there dog !!!!!.....I know pets are good for Cat scans and Lab tests , but getting you off a drink drive charge...come on !!!!
