2151 Earth tremor in Umbria?

We just felt a sudden jolt here in the Todi area of Umbria (at 14.30 local time)

Did anyone else out there feel the same?

We had a 2.6 or 2.8 tremor off the east coast of Ireland this week as well.

Hi Marc, yes there was an earthquake registered which was 5/6 on the Mercalli scale equivalent to 4.2 on the Richter scale the epicentre was between Spoleto and Sant Anatolia in the Valle del Topino, doesn't seem to have caused any damage it's strange how these things always seem to come around christmas time..........

Thanks Sebastiano. I heard a long rumble at around the time that the postino usually arrives in his Panda van, then a brief shockwave ran through the house.
I'm relieved to know that it was no worse anywhere else than it was here.

Didn't feel or hear anything myself but some of my Dublin colleagues did. Apparently there was an even bigger one back in the 80s.

Was that the same quake that hit the central Highlands (Fort William area)? The fault running underneath the Caledonian Canal was moving. Wouldn't be surprised if the shockwaves reached Ireland.

Glad all are fine, whether in Italy or up here...
