2370 Italian Towns and Cities from Space

I was requested to use Google Maps in a way that would benefit anyone interested in Italy, and improve upon what is offered by Google themselves, and so this is what I came up with:

There are links to over 250 interactive maps from Adria to Volterra, limited only by the quality of the satellite imagery available, and ocassionally by slightly inaccurate latitude/longitude information.

If you want to see the power of Google Maps then I'd recommend you look first at Naples (http://www.lifeinitaly.co.uk/maps/naples.htm) and enjoy zooming in and out and flying around over that city. Double click on any point of the map to recentre the map or 'drag' the map in any direction to view locations further afield.

It is still a very new test project, so we would appreciate any feedback or suggestions you may have to give to us at this time.

Enjoy finding your home in Italy from space!

Excellent tool. Thanks for that.

And again for those in Toscana - he regional government provides 1:10 000 maps of the entire region and 1:2000 maps of urban *ie anything vaguely built up) for free....

Thanks for that. Went for lunch yesterday at the house of some Italian friends and were able to amaze their kids by getting them to log on to the site. They 'flew' over their school, visited thier friend's house and especially liked Elba. Totally amazed as was I. Lovely lunch, too much to eat and lots of laughs. Thanks for your contribution
