Had a look at the link in the first posting and the car does not look that bad, I know the shape has been upgraded and sad people like me would prefer an old one but you can't have everything in life.
As for the last paragraph of the article it states that their Polish factory is running at capacity..................perhaps they could make the new cars in the west midlands?

I think it looks a lot like the Ford Ka. Or is it the Ford Ka that looks like the old Fiat 500?

I have an original Fiat 500 Giardinetta - Americans made big estate cars and Fiat made the little garden car! Anybody want a test drive?

i think a re-interpretation of the cinquecento is probably a better idea than the one the Italian prime minister keeps mentioning with any excuse - i.e. the creation of mini-ferraris as the business move to save FIAT

Sounds like Alchemy Partners idea for Rover which I always favoured over the idea that 3 brummie businessmen could do with a tenner what bmw failed to do with squillions.
Mmm...not sure what I think. Reminds me of when I first saw the (then) new Beetles a few years back and hated them. Too slick. Mind you since then i've grown to like them and I quite like the look of the FIAT 500.
Either way it does look like a design that would appeal to the trendier Italian (my family in Sardinia would no doubt tut disapprovingly) and is very 'now'. Also looks like it might aid Italian parking... ;)
