268 Anyone in the Lunigiana, Massa Carrara area?

Hi

I've been living permanently in Italy for a few months now and would love to meet up with anyone that lives in Massa Carrara (especially Lunigiana).

My boyfriend is Italian so I meet plenty of "locals" and speak nothing but Italian all day every day. My problem is not getting to speak enough English!

If anyone else is in a similar position I'd love to hear from you but for the moment I'll just content myself with "discussions" on the forum!

General chat about Italy

We live in Prato near Florence where there is www.britishinstitute.it where they have a good library, book club and a weekly film evening - they also teach English and Italian languages. If you hang around there you will meet fellow anglophones (not just British) and also Italians who want to improve their English.
Firenze is probably a couple of hours by train from Carrara so maybe too far on a regular basis but perhaps there is something similar in La Spezia.
When we have visitors we often go for long walks in your part so we will drop you a line next time we are heading that way.

ciao ciao

Thanks for the advice unfortunately as far as I can see there is nothing similar in this area.

You're very welcome to pop in for a coffee if you're passing through!

Thanks again.

Sounds as if you could do with a cuppa Nicola!

I have a kettle, teapot and tea and we'll be very near to to you next month! My husband will be staying at our family homestead two weeks and I a month as I will be joined by two couples from N. Ireland.

Basically you head towards Sarzana. Turn off on your right and go along the road that takes you up to Castelnuovo Magra.

Let me know!
