Our favourite restaurant in Lucca is the Olive tree they specialise in traditional Lucchesi food. My favourite is the rabbit with olives but the Tortelli is to die for!
Not much help but - I am sure I have seen a beauty salon in the streets of Lucca but can't remember where sorry.
But a good idea might be to find the monthly english magazine called Grapevine in a newsagents - which I'm sure was published for english 'speaking' people living in the Lucca area.
hope it helps
