:) Just curious really we often fly to Alghero(Ryanair) in the north and to Cagliari(Easyjet) in the south of Sardinia and the planes are always full whatever time of the year.I've noticed it's nearly always more Sardinian/Italian with very few Brits(which is nice).:o
Yes, we'd noticed the same with the Alghero flights, and the same can be said with the Easyjet flights into Olbia - (although we did once count 20 empty seats on one flight, but that was mid-week in March.)
Prior to Easyjet's all year round flights, it was only possible to fly from Olbia to the UK during the summer season on chartered flights, or with Meridiana (expensive). The winter season meant either a 2 hour drive to Alghero or an internal flight from Olbia via Milan to London.
So long may Easyjet continue- our Sard friends who are regular travellers to the UK, flew last week for 55 euros return, so they are more than happy ( so are we!)
Have a friend from Sardinia working in London. She flies back home at least every other weekend if not every weekend.
There are many Italians who have found cheap flights a great way to get a job in well-paying and opportunity granting UK while still keeping in close contact to their family and friends.
Nice to know it's not just used by holiday-makers:o

I've been lucky to fly to Cagliari 13 times over the last year with Easyjet. Every flight has been at least 80% full with the summer flights full. I still can't understand why Easyjet knock off a few flights during the winter season when there seems to be such a demand
