I went to the dentist here in Winchester yesterday and when making my 6 month appointment mentioned that I should be living in Italy by then. They said, "No problem, when would you like to come?" Does this mean that I can return to the UK whenever I need dental treatment.....but I didn't ask them if it would be as a private patient. At the moment I am registered with them as an NHS patient. Would it be an advantage to keep coming back (I would be coming back anyway on a regular basisto visit my children) or are people happy with the service and cost of Italian dentists?

I think you have the right to remain with your dentist for 3 years. We have been told this and so plan to make an appointment to coincide with a return visit to the UK. It will be worth double checking though.
