A terrible vision of the future.......

I have just had a horrible vision of the future.......
Having progressed (evolved!?!?) from television programmes that record the experiences of 'no going back' & renovations gone wrong, I can see a new breed of programme cataloguing the experiences of people at the hands of television companies filming the experiences of 'no going back' & etc....
Arrrrgh!

There are a couple of different people who post here, now living in Le Marche, who have featured in TV programmes, they could give you chapter and verse on the experience.

You must remember that these people have no interest in YOUR story, they set out to create errr, "entertainment", a couple of nice, decent people buying a house after covering ll the eventualities and budgeting sensibly, coplete their purchase and project on time, within budget and remain good friends is not "entertaining", so they make everything up. Nuff said.

Having just done the move I don't think I would like the TV people to film the stress and strains of it all. I think I only want to remember the good and brush over the bad/difficult.

maybe we should all get together and make our own movie, it could include finding the nearest wine shop, the best pizza bar, all the good things about Italy !!!!. The bad things could include, the wine shop closing for 3 hours at lunch time, and the pizzas that are not perfectly round, in my eyes this is the best stuff. Watching some poor couple have nervous breakdowns, or ending up near bankrupt is sick, what sort of people watch this stuff -
anyway what time is 'Moving Abroad' on
Have any of you been involved with a TV company to sell your story of setting up a new life in Italy? If so what was your experience, and was it worthwhile ? We'd like your thoughts and contributions. It seems that there are some that would like to show the worst of it for those of us trying to do the thing! However, we have seen the occasional programme that has tried to illustrate it as it is.
Comments please.
We have been contacted three or four times by these people (interestingly enough you may like to know that nearly all involved were foreign people british asians, british french etc etc) they do not give money for your story and there main objective is to make a soap opera out of your lives and you possibly look like idiots. We know people who have been involved in these most do not want to experience this again we turned them down. They even go to the extent of creating false "scenes" with fake situations which are not real,my advice would be to keep away from them.
