General chat about Italy

I stayed in Cattolica for the first time in 1996 and the second in 2002. I love the place (but then I love all the places I've visited in Italy). We visited Venice, Florence (very long day trips), San Marino, Gradara whilst we were there. Which hotel are you staying?

Just returned from Cattolica, lovely place, didn't do as much sight seeing as we anticipated, but Gradara is worth a visit, especially the English war cemetary. It is about a 15 minutes walk out of Gradara, but worth finding.

We also walked up to Gabbice Monte and back, which is a good walk, but you'll need a local map. ( we did it with 3 young children). The road train goes there as well (from outside the bank I think) at Gabbice Mare. The resturant at the top is lovely with great views. The local wine is good as well. Within view of your table, but down about 100 easy steps is also a childrens play ground which is handy depending on the age of children.

We visited Pesaro, which is a pleasant town.

Cattolica is a lovely town, absolutely buzzing at night, try some of the 'back street' eating places, well worth finding.

Have a great time.

You can get the train down to Pesaro. I prefer Fano myself. If you are here this weekend they have their Roman festa going on. Sunday there will be a carriot race in the main square.

we are staying at the hotel senior. It will be our first time on the adriatic coast of italy. What is at gradara?
