To escape from the Florence heat, I'm planning to do some cycling in Tuscany next week. I'm hoping to find a nice, circular route, lasting around three days, in the Tuscan countryside with the idea of taking in some wine-tasting en route.
Has anyone done this kind of thing and could suggest a good route or any bike-friendly tips? I've discovered a company called Italy Bike Hotels and wondered if anyone's used them, or if anyone's used the FIAB list of bike-friendly hotels mentioned in a recent posting in the forum (it's on www.albergabici.it).
And does anyone know a way of hiring a bike from A to B, rather than having to take a circular tour to end up where you started from?
Would be interested in anyone's own experiences, wouldn't like to miss anything out!
Many thanks,
Sarah

A little late with the request, try www.slowtrav.com the people on their forums will be able to help, but, maybe not at short notice.
