878 Italy Exhibition - Olympia 2006

Morning all!

Does anybody have any information concerning next years Italy Exhibition in I think March?

This will be the one that kicked of in April time in Earls Court this year.

In particular I am after dates and organiser details.

Its very much like an Autumn day here in Essex, cloudy and groggy, glad to see its sunny and 24c in Rome (not!)

Have a good weekend all and for those of you going to Italy next week on your hols, have a fantastic time.

General chat about Italy

No, but I would be interested to hear about it, and would be interested in attending as an exhibitor. The problem we find with many exhibitions in the UK is that they are scheduled around English ideas of when it would be a good time to have a show, and they tend to clash with trivia like the harvests, periods when I should be in Italy to attend to official business and the key times to be pruning, mowing etc.

That said, we will be attending the The London Speciality & Fine Food Fair
at the National Hall Olympia, London from Sunday, September 4 - Tuesday, September 6 this year, and also the West Dean Chilli Fiesta 6 & 7 August 2005.

We had good news recently, out olive oil has won an award in Italy and has featured in a new book by Judy Ridgeway on olive oils from around the world. I think the book is to be published in time for Christmas this year.

Thanks for your reply.

Congratulations on the success of your olive oil! I shall keep an eye out for it in September! It must be great to have a wonderful product and for it to be recognised, well done.

I have had a look on the Olympia website (probably should have done this first!) and I think the event will be;

Homes Overseas March 2006
3 March 2006 - 5 March 2006
Olympia 2
Details to follow

We will bet attending the Viva Italia Exhibition in September at Earls Court with out Architect in Marche who is currently busy restoring our farm house ready for next year.
We hope to start renting the accommodation out from next summer with a view to moving over from the UK on a permanent basis as soon as we can.

Looking at your website I think you are based in or around Pescara? We flew in to Pescara for the first time at the beginnig of July and spent four days on the coast at Grottammare. Fantastic. I loved the area and we had a great time. We then moved in land to be nearer the restoration and stayed in San Ginesio.

We are back out for two week in September staying a week in Grottammare and a week inland.

7 weeks on Wednesday, not that I'm counting!

Best wishes
David

There are still 2 to go this year at Earls Court - one is Viva Italia at the end of September and the other the Buon Gusto. The Dolce Vita Exhibition should be around the same time as it was this year, will find out as am in touch with the organisers and post it here. email me on admin@villa sibillini.com if you want any info on the others.

regards
Pam

Thanks for the Olympia Info, most useful. No, we're quite a bit north/west of Pescara, on the border with Le Marche give or take a bit a driving.
