We are looking to move to Italy next year,me ,my husband and 4 kids.My oldest son is a fully qualified barber in UK.Does anyone know of his chances of finding a job with an Italian barbers and are the UK diplomas similar to the Italian ones.Are there any english hairdressers working out there and if so how does it compare to the UK.

A comercialista should be able to advise you on required qualifications.
we have 2 barbers and most times it is 1st come 1st served
It is not unusual to wait for at least an hour
This is in a town of 3000 people.
They charge 8 euros and I would estimate see 3-4 people an hour
The cost of living here is quite low as is the average pay in the local factories
In a small town you may be able to rent a shop for 400-500 euros per month or get an option to buy it if all was going well
The italians like to have a haircut.
Locals may come into just have a chat and tease the person having a haircut

I am sure he will find a fantastic job, hairdresser from the uk... veeeeeeery fashionable!

I do not think he will have any problems with the qualification.
