Hi there,

My name is Marcel and I'm new to your forum. I am Dutch and still live in the Netherlands, but we want to buy a house in Piemonte and hopefully we will be living there soon. I lived in Torino for a few years in the past and speak Italian quite well. I hope that your forum can be of help in getting useful information and maybe I can also provide some.

Anyway I am glad to have found this forum!

When you next visit bring with you those lovely Dutch wafers filled with caramel. I have discovered (my neighbours are Dutch), that when you float them on a big cappuccino, they melt and are to die for! :v_SPIN:

Thanks for your welcome Persephone, I will bring some "stroopwafels" :smile: , I always bring them to my Italian friends. We might be visiting Lunigiana Area soon! I have an Italian friend who tells me not to buy a house in Alta Langa region, but in the Sarzana-area.. So who knows...

We are looking for a house in the Alta-Langa Region and especially Valbormida. There are two villages that we really like: Levice and Prunetto. So if you have a house to sell or know somebody that does in one of those villages...;-)

well, no, I deal in houses in monferrato. But my uncle is from Levice, what a coincidence. I have never been there though....as he moved to Alba when he married my Aunt.

Good luck with your search...you might end up buying his old family house!

In Levice I ran into a person that was the commercialista of a firm I used to work for in Chieri, she is a Levice-native and returned to her home town. She might know your uncle, what's his name?:laughs:

she might indeed, he comes from a big family..his name is Lorenzo Corsini, I think that they sold the family house, but I ma not really sure, one of his brothers or sisters might have kept it. Did you work in Chieri? Such a lovely town. And lovely Freisa!
