11989 Not a Bot

Hello Everyone,
Just to let you know that we are real. Living, breathing, walking, talking, wine drinking and typing kind of real that is!
We do not want to be deactivated because we’re new. We will eventually get around to filling in all the bits and bobs in the about me section.
Brief overview of the NotBots
We live in beautiful Le Marche and we have been here for four years give or take. We love our Italian life though it can be tough, this euro/pound thing is pushing us to the limit at the moment I’ll admit it.
Our little house sits in between the estates of two real farming families and we exist in state of constant embarrassment at the pitiful offerings of our orto. Our neighbours top up our veggie stock though with their generous gifts and endless advice as to how we can attain new heights in the tomato department!
Anyway, that’s our case stated, alive and kicking that’s us!
We thoroughly enjoy the forum and all the good things it has to offer – thank you all.

No - he said he'd left her indoors!

.

Update.
We have finally completed our profile thingamy and popped some pics in the album for your perusal.
The mountains shot is the glory we see from our bedroom window, the kitten was our baby until she grew up to be Miss Aloof Marche 2009 and the 'Our Lady' is close to our home and probably Moxie's favourite photo of all time.
We have also chosen some oddities just to liven up our wee spot in the forum!
These stranger pics are a few that we have taken around Italy in the five years we have lived here but they are not too obvious. Can you tell us anything about them?:nah:

The car looks like a 57 T Bird..........2 Looks like a Brazilian?.................does that help ?:laughs:

Hi Moxie, nice pics. Here is what I worked out:

Pic 1 is a chapel to the Mary Miraculous Medal, a religious medad that is worn by many Italians and Catholics around the world. It is also known as the Immaculate Conception although there are different versions of that same image. Here is some information on it:
AMM | Miraculous Medal Story
If you have a look at my own album, you will see a "nicchia" or small chapel at the entrance of my own home with an image of the Immaculate Conception by Murillo (different version)

Pic 3 Is some old door from a trattoria with an awning.

Pic 4 is some type of mosaic, probably a table top and it looks Moroccan

I have no idea about the car, but the kitten and the views are lovely.

Great view and nice snorkel :laughs: and welcome to you both. Good to have some new blood. Kittens always start as just the sweetest things, and then the little ******s grow into an attitude and wot's worse they try to out live you. That's a scary Avatar you have there Moxie (and him) Come on him, less time down the bar and get a voice

Lovely Gala,

Your pictures are wonderful we spent ages examining them!
Thanks for the interesting link too.
The trattoria is trackable by its unusual name although I admit when I took the picture I was thinking of Adrian Mole aged thirteen and three quarters! The mosaic is extraordinary in the fact that it is new (ish) though it looks to be from ancient times and is situated in a very historical place. I took the picture determined that (and him) would reproduce something similar for me on our terrace... still waiting.
We have been left comments on our pics which we didn't know was possible - what fun!

Thanks for the welcome Ghianda:smile:
Scary avatar aka Smokey is ironically the friendliest of our tribe. I have been trying for sometime to wrestle the mouse out of Moxie's hand in order to post this response, apologies for the delay. Must get back to painting the front door as it seems that rain is about to descend once more! My allotted ten minute tea break is up.

Him

Hi Him

Very pleased to hear that your Panther "Smokey" is friendly. Presumably you are painting over his claw and fang miarks in the door .
