1803 American in Assisi

Ciao! I've been on this forum for a couple of months-enjoying the chats. I see that most of the posters are British...so was a bit reluctant to join.

I'm an American (Alaskan) who has lived in Assisi for the last four plus years. Though I am not Italian by heritage-my heart is certainly Italian. In Alaska, I was a professional chef/caterer/cooking teacher.

I have been writing a book on my experiences (I do spiritual counseling/healing/meditation) at sacred sites around the world-over 30 countries so far. Thus my excuse for not speaking better Italian-I travel ALOT! :o

hi welcome

I must warn you that once you get going this forum is totally addictive!I'm self-employed and get tempted to look on it at least once a day.

Your book sounds very intersting. We are buying a house in Abruzzo and I also design web sites so I thought I might start a ezine/newsletter online specifically about living in Abruzzo as a non-italian. I know you are in Assisi but it would be nice to hear your thoughts.

I will be looking for any written articles etc but I cannot pay as Its only really a hobby. You can howevever put an advert on the site if you give me some editorial.

Send me a PM if you are interested.

Hello and welcome Alaskaitaly!

Sounds like you lead an exciting life. One of my brothers has lived in Alaska for
25 years, and he loves it. He's a big fan of hunting and fishing :).

Welcome to the forum. You are not the only American born member for sure!
