2114 moving to northern italy

Hi there
My husband and myself are selling up here in London ,within the next couple of months. We have found a new build house about 40 mins from Venice.
We both know the area very well as my husband whom born here in uk, but of Italian parents..... often go and visit, we both want to begin a new life.... can any one offer us any advice.. re finding work, my husband does speak Italian. we are both in our early 50's and still very youthfull!!! thanks
