Buona Sera tutti. Abbiamo bevuto tanto vino rosso questa sera ma.....
We are Sal and Tim. We moved out to Italy last year.
We both left rather well paid, slave to the mortgage type jobs in the UK, devon to be precise. Half of the south east seemed to be moving down there so we decided to throw in the towel and 'relocate', as they say, to Bassano Del Grappa, Veneto.
We now have not so well paid jobs in an International School, but are loving every minute of it. We are in the process of buying in the Langhe, thanks for all who have advised on the forum.
We have had a rich and varied set of experiences in the last year, from obtaining all the documentation necessary to teach, through to registering a vehicle etc, but have embraced the frustrations in order to revel in the lifestyle, which now seems a complete contrast to the UK.
We are daily visitors to the forum and genuinely find it a great source of information and community spirit.
Just a thought.....why do the Italians insist on leaving vast amounts of loo roll in any vaguely beautiful viewpoint?....or is this just our very English inhibition?????
YOU MUST ENJOY IT . EVERY TIME I GO ME TOO.
WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF DIESEL ENGINE.
