I was reading one thread and just wanted to add my two cents - so here I am.

Quick presentation: I'm Davide an Italian Property Consultant; although Irish resident for six years I now spend most of my time all over Italy due to my business.

I will try to have a look at the forum when I can and share my thoughts with you.

Looked at you web site and found this
"Italy's 2006 Budget approval the capital gain tax on properties has been introduced in Italy but only for properties sold within five year from the purchase".

I thought this was the case anyway? :confused:

A direct taxation on capital gain on sales within five years it's new (well at least after the INVIM was abolished) and replace the indirect capital gain.

I wrote a little article to my newsletter about the new changes - I don’t have a copy up in my web site but I discovered someone did take it from my newsletter and put it up in the net.
