Hi! My name is Melissa and I am a grade 10 student from Canada. I am applying to go in the youth exchange program with Rotary. My number 1-100 choices are all ITALY! And of course, you must exchange with a country that speaks a different language that you do not know (AHH). But anyway, I would be exchanging (hopefully) in July 2007- July 2008 when I am in grade 12 (and hopefully graduate there). I fell in love with Italy a couple of years ago and with italian this year. I would like to know all I can about this amazing country, and which cities you all think are best, most amazing, etc. and all about culture and daily living, because I can't find anything other than things for tourists. Thanks a bunch. :)

Welcome to the forum Melissa!

You're a very smart girl! ;) I agree that Italy is amazing. There are lot's of interesting threads on the forum about lots of different areas. I'd search around and see what might interest you. There are some interesting books listed that you could check out from the library and some webcams linked to different locations in Italy that are fun to check out too.

Looking forward to hearing more from you! :)

Best wishes,
Dee and John

PERUGIA, BOLOGNA,BERGAMO,AND VICENZA.
i believe they have a good student population and as is the norm, plenty of
culture.
