299 Buongiorno!

Hello everyone. We currently live near Bristol having relocated from Surrey a couple of years ago. We are hoping to buy in Le Marche this year (if our agent ever gets back to us) having decided on our first visit in September that it was the place for us. I just love the medieval hill-top towns, and well, let's face it Le Marche has it all! Mountains, coast, rolling countryside, spectacular views and bags of history and culture. I have been trying to learn Italian in evening classes for two years and really want to improve my conversation skills. There's only one sure way to do that so I dream on.

You are so lucky to be going out there so soon. We are planning to relocate during the early part of 2007. We have 3 young children so need to tie it in with a September school start. We are there on holiday in 4 weeks time so we hope to have a scout around at some Estate Agents etc, and maybe choose a prefered area, but between the sea and the mountains seem to be what we are after.

If truth be known I would like to relocate next June/July, but not sure if it is possible with one thing and another.

I have been learning Italian for 2 years at evening classes and am about to start 1 to 1 tution, my husband has just started with listening to CD's while driving!

Any advice/tips would be welcome as once we get there, there is certainly no going back for us.

Hello Jan
We won't be permanently relocating as my husband is still working but we do hope to spend longer there when he retires. If you want practical tips from those who have already relocated to Le Marche, may I suggest you post something on the General Chat about Italy forum. I have found that people are very ready to offer advice. Keep in touch as we may well be near neighbours one day!
