8656 Rome/Trentino!!

Hi All

I have been spying on these forums for a while now and so I am glad to now be able to introduce myself. I made a permanent move to Italy (Trentino) last April with my Italian husband and toddler (from Reading!), three months later we were on the move again to Rome with work. It is nice to be feeling settled in the one place now! (Although a move to Milan may be on the cards too....!)

My husband's family are from Trentino and we have purchased a house next door to my in-laws (???!!! - it was a bargain!). Over the next couple of years we will be renovating the building. We are at the quote stage with the Geometra and can't wait to get started - obviously we have the additional challenge of being based 7 hours away from our project.

I am slowly learning the language and getting to grips with how to get things done over here (it took us 3 months to get the internet installed - but from what I read this is normal!!) but am enjoying every minute of it.
