Sono una artista di Austria, Viena e molto interesata in Italia. Non parlo bene il italino ma capisco molto. So I will continue in English, my Italian is horrible. Wanted to say hi to everyone. I´m new to this forum and sure will enjoy talking about Italy´s beauty!

Hi!

Well I paint and I draw and I really love Italian art, especially Renaissance since I´m leaning towards the "old" art. I am hoping to find people in this forum that have been to galleries and museums in Italy lately and to talk about Italian artists. I´m also into modernism ad expressionism..

So, happy to hear from anyone. Let me know what type of art you do or like!

I think that I like all art expressions. Some more than others.... it is very subjective as I feel that the work of art tries to communicate with us... whether it gets to our hearts is a different matter.
Italy is a real paradise for art lovers and I believe that this is the reason why we love so much this country.

Welcome to Italy and enjoy painting here - I find the most difficult thing is putting to one side all those things to be done as a consequence of residency, property etc and just getting out and doing the painting.

The heat can be oppressive so painting in the shade is a must.

Was thrilled to learn that Corot and many of his contemporaries lived in Rome but travelled out to my own region to paint the landscapes of S Lazio and the Campagna.
What was good enough for them must be good enough for me!
