So I'm Italian resident in the UK and am looking to get married in Italy to a British person.
Has anyone done this before? Does she automatically get an entitlement to Italian nationality?
I guess I can get most of the answers from the Consulate but having just found this site I thought it might be nice to get some feedback of your experiences.
Thanks

If living outside of Italy she will have the right to apply for citizenship after 3 years. If instead you move back to Italy she can apply after 6 months.
Make sure when you do get married that you have your marriage certificate translated into Italian and then go to your local Italian consulate and have them register the marriage in your home comune.

Hope this helps.
