Dont know if this is true, but heard yesterday (from an Italian) that residents in Italy will no longer have to pay ICI on their 1st property, the tax has been abolished-anyone else heard this? seems a bit mad to me but thought I'd check it out!

To give him his due, Adriatica gave the heads up on this a long time ago and it has since been mentioned in several threads. I did not believe it wither but it seems it is true. I think we are all waiting to find out where the money to compensate for this loss of revenue is going to come from.
