17 web based company

A warning to all and sundry.I have found a company that offers cheap houses that dont exist.Will charge you for everything they do.Will offer in their profile to find you places at more reasonable prices.~~Be warnedwhen you go house hunting with this lot the only prey will be you.I payed for one of their gold packages.They did not show me one of thei houses that i had chosen from the site.They also tried to get me to buy a place i did not relly want.They have lawyers ready to work on sundays to try and get you hooked.They have architects,financial advisers,and god knows what else available.They sit waiting to clutch clients as they come off the aeroplane at Pescara.Its a lions den.Do not be fooled by the pleasant smiles.

I hear nothing but bad about these people. They are not agents, but middle men. Agreed - steer clear.

I smealt a rat at once when they refused to give any details about the properties on their website - even what town they were in!

Use only a registered agent, who has a real vested interest in selling a property.

I have met a few people now who have used companies because they have been on english tv.... simple really....they are on their best behaviour...the tv companies do not vet them.... and they have found out to their cost that maybe they should have been and then maybe the program makers might well not have used them.... that is why this forum is important.... lets hear from some of those that have used good companies............or not

I would like to advise you that I found the whole process of finding a suitable property in Le Marche to renovate and then undertaking the renovation, both interesting and enjoyable. I think it had everything to do with the people involved in Italy. I would recommend the services of Charles Joseph of Magical Marche, he is able to match the properties available with your requirement, assist you with the whole process of purchase and then renovation, 3M Construczioni ( a great and experienced building company based in Le Marche) and a super architect, Maurizio Nisi, based in Pedaso. You have to have confidence in the people acting on your behalf, especially when you are 1200 miles away and these people helped my family achieve our dream, owning a fanatastic house in Le Marche

Having read the various messages about the company I think you are referring to I must defend them a little. I am in the process of buying one of their properties and I have found them useful, especially one of their employees. Sure there have been a couple of things that I have found strange (I too visited and was shown lots of houses, none of which I had previously looked at on the web); yes I have asked for further information and told that they could not provide - and have attend two 'tours' with them - which I did not pay for!

Having been patient, I am now in the process of completing on a property and to date, the company has been very supportive and helpful.

I think that there are good and bad everywhere, and some people have positive experiences and others less so. I recently had a survey done on a villa I wanted to buy in Puglia, through another web based company. 700 euros it cost and all I got was one side of A4, half in italian and then the other half an english translation, not worth the paper it was written on, never mind E700! Again another web based company that have been highlighted in the UK via the tele.
