2910 estate or travel agents

i pose another question..

why when people go on holiday and book these things do they check that someone say is abta registered .. so that they know all the insurances are in place and that the holiday is virtually as far as it can be guaranteed and yet it seems that many of the people on the forum are booking house hunting holidays with estate agents... not licensed to provide this service with none of the usual holiday company safeguards...

it makes me wonder that people seem to take an estate agents word above a travel agents and yet we all know stories etc about dodgey estate agents and far less say about travel agents. where does this blind trust come from. why do people accept statemnets that say they can have a free viewing trip or the hotel the agents deal with and sell you accomodation in is offering a special deal...

do you really believe all this .. i dont know

but do you ever ask yourself if the driver of the mini bus in which you are touring around in is licenced to carry paying passengers or that the mode of transport as offered in the ads is ... or that if your flight is cancelled you get your money back

these seem common sense questions .. does anyone ask them
