..........if you're in Lunigiana, a specific place would be great. Thanks.

In Aulla, there's a place on the left, in Via Nazionale, between the piazza and the road up to the old station, or if you're anywhere near Gragnola, Riani will also cut keys.

There's also a Mister Minute in CentroLuni, Sarzana (at the exit furthest from the hospital)
He does one of the totally wierd "bank safe" type keys we have on our front door

A very good specialist shop in Lucca is Filli Bertini SNC Mesricheria Ferramenta, B. Gianotti 205 LUCCA 55100

I agree with Ricky. Ferramente.

Near us [nowhere near you I'm afraid] the larger supermarkets and hypermarkets have small concessions running things like key cutting, dry cleaning etc.
.

All our ferramente seem to do them and at a price which should make our UK chain outfits hold their heads in shame!

Got all mine done at various ferramente but there is also a place in the new shopping mall in San Stefano (LeClerc etc.)
Pontremoli

In Pontremoli there are a couple of hareware shops in the main square that cut keys but they do not advertise this service, you have to ask and they take the key away to a back room to cut them after riffling though a few drawers to find the right blank. Also if you cross over the footbridge into the new part of the town there is a shop on the corner or the crossroads that does photocopying and key cutting, which is very reasonable.
We had a very large old key that needed cutting and none of these places could do it because the key shaft was too long. I think we shall have to try some of the other places suggested.

There is a hardware shop that does keycutting in the Filanda area of Aulla. The name escapes me but on the road up to the new station just at the bottom of the hill there is a turn off to the left and just up there on the left is a largish hardware store. It's near where the buses park. I wouldn't really recommend the shop near the old station - had to go back 3 times with the same key and they still didn't get it right. There is also a place in the Ipercoop at Sarzana but they also weren't able to get the key right. The shop in Filanda was the only one that seemed to be able to manage our type of key.

Sounds like you have an unusual key - we've used the Ferramenta in Via Nazionale, dozens of times with no problems and very reasonable.
Apologies if this has come up before but I can't find any previous relevant posts...
What type of place (in Italy, obviously) cuts spare keys? I've been keeping my eyes open for a key cutting service for some time but I haven't found one yet. I suppose I haven't been trying too hard but [typical] now I really need one.
Advice on types of place to try would be useful or, if you're in Lunigiana, a specific place would be great. Thanks.
BTW - all the key cutting places I've tried here in Ireland won't touch it. Different type? It's just a front door key and it doesn't look at all unusual to me.
If you had your doors made new i suggest you ask who did them to give/make you some spare sets
